Pluto Enters Aquarius

pluto in aquarius

On 20 November 2024, Pluto, the planet of initiation, death, rebirth, power and transformation entered the sign of Aquarius, marking a new 20 year cycle of death and rebirth through the area of our charts/lives containing Pluto that will transpire between now and January of 2044.

This is a big deal.

Pluto is the slowest moving planet in our solar system and stays in a sign for approximately 10 to 30 years, depending on its retrograde patterns. I became obsessed with Pluto's transits after experiencing its transit to my sun in around 2020. Once I started piecing things together, I conducted an extensive case study, interviewing as many clients as I could find and gathering insights from their personal experiences through these transits to gain a better understanding of this astrological happening which I cover below.

But first, let's set the scene (or skip ahead to where I cover what it means for you. Up to you!).

The Archetype of Pluto

In Astrology, each planet is an archetypal characters that plays a particular role, both in your own personal journey and the evolution of the collective.

While Saturn is our Teacher, Pluto can feel like our captor: taking us into the darkness, to the places that we might not want to go, but need to go, showing us things that we need to see and serving us the medicine we need to taste, regardless of what we think we want or how things should be.

This is what rebirth is: dying a thousand deaths to start back at ground zero.

Our most transformative portals in our lifetime tend not to happen through things we would chose for ourselves or sign up for, but it's through darkness and uncertainty that the alchemical process takes hold for us to rise and discover things about ourselves, our strength and our power that we would otherwise never be able to access.

Pluto is also connected to Scorpio energy and also the 8th house. These energies go deep. People with a lot of Scorpio energy can't deal with superficial trivialities (where are my Scorpio risings at, because you folks HATE small talk, I see you). They will go to all the places that others dare not tread. They love secrets and taboo: whether that's wanting to talk about trauma or engaging with or dealing with life and death. I find these placements have jobs that other people are afraid to go (like deep mining) or might find macabre like being a coroner, or a death doula.

Because of this, and the way that society conditions us that these topics are dark and secret, and that there are a million and one things to feel shame about and keep secret, most of us aren't very good at dealing with this stuff, so Pluto can be intense.

The part of your life where this is happening is going to undergo this rebirthing process over the next two decades and I'm going to share more about how it will impact you, based on your rising sign below.

Also, if you are an Aquarius or Leo Rising, or have your Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury, or Mars in Aquarius, this is going to have a deeper impact on you. You will most likely also experience it more intensely if you are a Scorpio or Taurus rising, depending on whether you have your IC or MC in Aquarius (more on this further below).

Pluto in Aquarius: Aquarius Themes

When a planet occupies a sign, it takes on the personality of that sign. The easiest way is to think of it is the planets are playing the role, the sign is their personality, and the house is the stage where it's playing out.

Aquarius is the change maker, the rebel with a cause, and marches to the beat of its own drum. The role of this archetype is to throw structure and convention out the window so it can forge its own path and shift paradigms as it does so. Who made these rules anyway? And are do they benefit the majority or only a select few? Aquarius uses its sharp intellect to understand systems so that they can innovate them into a better way that serves all.

Aquarius is egalitarian and particularly concerned for the collective, making sure everyone gets what they need.  No man gets left behind on Aquarius' watch.  It's important for Aquarius to be identified to a cause, otherwise it can rebel for the sake of being contrarian which is a misdirection of their intellect and energy.

  • What do you feel called to innovate?

  • What world do you dream of creating?

This is the time to create the future you desire because literally anything is possible right now.

What To Expect During Pluto's Transit through Aquarius

On a collective level, these major transits can shift the trajectory of our societies. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius (from 1778 - 1798) saw both the French and American revolutions. What occurs this time around only time will tell, but here are some key themes:

Unconventional Power Dynamics: Pluto often deals with power and control. In Aquarius, power dynamics may become more unconventional and decentralized. There could be a shift away from traditional hierarchies towards more collective and collaborative forms of power.

Scientific Breakthroughs and Discoveries: Aquarius is a forward-thinking and intellectual sign, and with Pluto's influence, there may be breakthroughs and discoveries in scientific and technological realms. This could lead to advancements that have a profound impact on society and the way we understand the world.

Revolutionary Changes in Governance: Aquarius is also associated with unconventional thinking and rebellion against established norms. Pluto's transformative energy could bring about revolutionary changes in governance structures, political ideologies, and the way societies organize themselves. This may involve a push for more progressive and inclusive forms of governance.

Environmental Awareness: Aquarius is associated with the collective and the global community. Pluto's influence might bring attention to environmental issues and the need for transformative measures to address climate change and sustainability on a global scale.

Exploration of the Unknown: Aquarius is a forward-thinking and progressive sign. Pluto entering Aquarius may encourage humanity to explore new frontiers, both literally and metaphorically. This could involve space exploration, as well as a collective push towards exploring unconventional ideas and philosophies.

Pluto in Aquarius: What Does it Mean For You?

How Pluto's transit through Aquarius plays out for you will depend on which area of your chart/life contains Aquarius. Pluto's Transit Through Capricorn : What Was That All About?

Pluto first entered Capricorn in January 2008 and exited in November 2024. Depending on how old you are, 16 years can seem like a pretty long time to retrospectively parse through and pick out themes, but consider that these transits are passages of time in the context of your entire life where you will go through anywhere between one and, say, six (I don't need to embark on a side quest to do those calculations right now).

So, check out your rising sign, where it was happening for you, the suggestions I've given based on my experience as an astrologer and talking this through with many, many, many clients and case study participants, as well as the themes of Pluto I've outlined above and see if it resonates with your experience over the transit period (2008 - 2024).

Over this time, you may have experienced a career crisis, a profound moment of introspection where you found yourself questioning your purpose in life and the direction your career was taking. This period of uncertainty may have prompted you to take a leap of faith, courageously stepping outside of your comfort zone to pursue what you truly want to do, rather than simply conforming to societal expectations or previously held beliefs about success. You may have redefined your ideas around success, moving away from conventional metrics such as job titles, salaries, or prestige, and instead focusing on personal fulfilment, passion, and the impact you wish to have on the world.

During this transformative journey, you may have faced significant challenges, such as being fired from a job that no longer aligned with your values or being made redundant in a rapidly changing job market. These experiences could have felt like devastating setbacks at the time, but they also served as pivotal moments that pushed you to re-evaluate your priorities and aspirations. Additionally, you may have found yourself embroiled in a public scandal, which not only affected your professional life but also forced you to confront your public identity and the perceptions others had of you.

This could have led to a profound reinvention of your public persona, as you worked to rebuild your reputation and redefine how you wanted to be seen by others. You may have taken steps to engage with your community, share your story, and connect with others who have faced similar challenges, allowing you to emerge from these trials stronger and more resilient. Through this process, you likely discovered new strengths within yourself, developed a clearer vision of what success means to you, and embraced the idea that personal growth often stems from adversity. Ultimately, this journey may have transformed not only your career but also your entire outlook on life, leading you to pursue a path that is more aligned with your authentic self.

Pluto was visiting your 9th house of Truth, Meaning, Philosophy, Travel, Adventure, Teaching, and Publishing.

Over this time, you may have experienced a profound sense of being lost and confused regarding the meaning of life and the fundamental question of why we are here on this planet. This existential uncertainty can often feel overwhelming, leading to moments of deep introspection and questioning. However, amidst this turmoil, you may have encountered transformative experiences or undergone some form of spiritual awakening that significantly altered your ideologies and reshaped your understanding of truth, purpose, and the larger tapestry of existence.

Such awakenings can manifest in various forms, whether through personal revelations, encounters with enlightening philosophies, or moments of clarity during meditation or reflection.  Furthermore, you may have taken the opportunity to travel abroad, immersing yourself in different cultures and perspectives that challenged your pre-existing beliefs and broadened your worldview. These journeys often serve as catalysts for personal growth, providing insights that resonate deeply within and inspire a re-evaluation of your life's direction.

Alternatively, you might have engaged in academic pursuits or studies that not only deepened your knowledge but also left a lasting impact on your spiritual journey. This intellectual exploration can lead to significant realizations about the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of compassion and understanding.

Additionally, you may have produced or published work aimed at supporting others who are navigating similar existential questions and challenges. The very process of bringing your thoughts, experiences, and insights to life through writing or other creative expressions can be an incredibly transformational journey in itself. Sharing your knowledge and experiences not only helps others but also reinforces your own understanding and commitment to these profound topics. In doing so, you contribute to a collective conversation about life's meaning, fostering a sense of community and shared exploration in the quest for truth and understanding.

PLUTO IN CAPRICORN FOR GEMINI RISING

Pluto transiting the 8th House

Pluto was visiting your 8th house of Shadow Work, Intimacy, Secrets, Debt, Shared Money, Taboo, and Initiation.

Over this time, you may have experienced a profound sense of loss, whether it be the passing of a loved one, the end of a significant relationship, or the loss of a job that played an integral role in your identity and sense of purpose. Grief can manifest in various ways, often leading to a complex emotional journey that encompasses sadness, anger, confusion, and even moments of acceptance.

This multifaceted process can be deeply challenging, forcing you to confront not only the absence of what was lost but also the ways in which it has shaped your life and your understanding of yourself.

Additionally, you may have encountered power struggles in different areas of your life, whether within personal relationships, at work, or even within yourself.

These struggles can often lead to significant introspection, pushing you to examine your own beliefs about authority, control, and your role in various dynamics. Such experiences can be catalysts for personal growth, prompting you to assert your boundaries, recognize your worth, and engage in healthier interactions with others.

Financial issues may have also surfaced during this period, presenting challenges that require careful navigation. You might have faced difficulties related to managing your finances, such as grappling with taxes that felt overwhelming or contemplating the daunting decision to file for bankruptcy.

These situations can evoke feelings of fear and uncertainty, forcing you to confront societal perceptions of success and failure, while also highlighting the importance of financial literacy and planning.

The process of addressing these financial matters can teach invaluable lessons about resilience, resourcefulness, and the necessity of seeking support when needed. Moreover, you may have undergone a deep initiation regarding trust, intimacy, and vulnerability. This journey often involves peeling back layers of self-protection and exploring the fears that may have kept you from fully connecting with others.

Learning to trust again, whether in friendships, romantic relationships, or family ties, can be a daunting task, yet it is essential for cultivating meaningful connections. As you navigate this path, you may discover the power of vulnerability as a strength rather than a weakness, recognizing that opening up to others can lead to deeper bonds and a richer emotional experience.

Through all these experiences, you have likely gained a clearer understanding of your personal power within. This newfound awareness can empower you to make choices that align with your true self, fostering a sense of agency in your life. Embracing your personal power means acknowledging your ability to influence your circumstances, make decisions that support your well-being, and cultivate a life that reflects your values and aspirations. Ultimately, this period of reflection and growth can be transformative, guiding you toward a more authentic and empowered existence.

PLUTO IN CAPRICORN FOR CANCER RISING

Pluto transiting the 7th House

Pluto was visiting your 7th house of Committed Partnerships; both Romantic, Professional, and Long-Term friends.

Over this time, you may have come to a profound understanding of the depth and intimacy you truly crave in your relationships. This realization often stems from a deep-seated desire to foster meaningful connections with those around you. As you have navigated through various interactions, you may have found that your longing to deepen your connection with others has led to a significant evolution in the nature of some relationships.

In certain instances, this desire has resulted in a strengthening of bonds, allowing you to cultivate deeper trust, understanding, and emotional support with those who resonate with your aspirations for closeness. You may have shared experiences, engaged in heartfelt conversations, or simply spent quality time together that reinforced these connections, making them more resilient and fulfilling. Conversely, during this period of introspection and growth, you may have also encountered the bittersweet reality that not all relationships can withstand the test of time or change.

Some connections, which once seemed vital and robust, may have begun to wane, slipping away as you and the other person evolved in different directions. This phenomenon can be particularly poignant, as it often involves the loss of key partnerships that held significant meaning in your life. The emotional weight of such losses can be heavy, leading to a period of mourning for the companionship and shared moments that once existed. Additionally, related or unrelated to these experiences of loss, you may have also undergone transformations in the structure and dynamics of relationships that are still ongoing. This could involve a re-evaluation of boundaries, a shift in roles, or a newfound understanding of each other’s needs and desires.

As you continue to grow and change, these ongoing relationships may require adjustments to accommodate your evolving selves. Such transformations can bring about challenges, but they also present opportunities for deeper understanding and renewed connection if both parties are willing to engage in open dialogue and adapt to the changes. Ultimately, this journey through relationships—marked by both the strengthening of certain bonds and the painful letting go of others—has likely contributed to a richer understanding of what you seek in your connections with others. It has prompted you to reflect on the qualities that are most important to you in relationships, such as trust, communication, empathy, and shared values.

As you continue to navigate this complex landscape, you may find yourself more attuned to the nuances of human connection, fostering a deeper appreciation for the relationships that truly nourish your spirit.

PLUTO IN CAPRICORN FOR LEO RISING

Pluto transiting the 6th House

Pluto was visiting your 6th house of Daily Life, Routine, Responsibility, Health and how you take care of yourself.

Over this time, you may have experienced a significant health crisis that profoundly impacted your daily routine or the overall way you live your life. Such a health crisis could manifest in various forms, such as a sudden illness, a chronic condition that flared up unexpectedly, or even a mental health challenge that altered your perspective and capabilities.

These events often disrupt the normal flow of life, making it necessary to reassess and adjust not only your physical activities but also your emotional and psychological well-being. Consequently, this may have led to you adopting a new regime around your health and how you take care of yourself. This new approach could involve changes in diet, the incorporation of regular exercise tailored to your needs, or the practice of mindfulness and stress-reduction techniques aimed at improving your overall quality of life.

You might have found yourself exploring holistic remedies, seeking out therapy, or joining support groups to better manage your situation and foster a sense of community and understanding.

Alternatively, something may have happened that resulted in you having to take on more or less responsibility in your life. For instance, you may have stepped into the role of a carer for a family member or friend who is facing their own health challenges, which can be both rewarding and overwhelming.

This new responsibility often requires you to balance your own needs with those of the person you are caring for, leading to a complex dynamic that can affect your emotional and physical health. On the other hand, if you were previously in a caregiving role and circumstances changed, such as the recovery of the individual you were caring for or their passing, you might find yourself navigating the emotional landscape of loss or relief, while also adjusting to the newfound freedom or the need to redefine your identity outside of that role.

These transitions can lead to a profound re-evaluation of priorities and a deeper understanding of what it means to care for oneself and others in the journey of life.

This could involve a range of situations, from navigating the complexities of sexual relationships to dealing with issues such as infertility, sexual dysfunction, or the emotional turmoil that often accompanies these experiences. These challenges can leave a profound mark on your mental and emotional health, leading to feelings of inadequacy or confusion regarding your sexual identity and desires.

In addition to these experiences, you might have felt a loss of your inner child, that innate sense of wonder and joy that once characterized your approach to life. The spark of life, which fuels creativity, spontaneity, and a zest for living, may have dimmed over time due to various life circumstances, societal pressures, or personal struggles. This loss can manifest as a feeling of being stunted in your creativity, where ideas that once flowed freely become stifled, and self-expression feels constrained or even impossible.

As you reflect on these feelings, you may recognize a longing to reconnect with that vibrant part of yourself, to reclaim the joy and enthusiasm that once fuelled your passions and pursuits. The journey towards rediscovering your creative spirit and inner child can be complex, requiring introspection, healing, and often the courage to confront the barriers that have held you back. Engaging in creative activities, seeking support from others, or exploring therapeutic avenues can be vital steps in this process, allowing you to explore the depths of your emotions and ultimately rediscover the fullness of your self-expression.

Changes such as the arrival of a new family member, a separation or divorce, or even the loss of a loved one can dramatically alter the fabric of family relationships and interactions.

These shifts may have resulted in a reconfiguration of roles within the household, leading to new responsibilities and emotional challenges for everyone involved. Furthermore, you might have encountered changes in your living situation, such as relocating to a new home or neighborhood, which can disrupt your sense of belonging and community. These transitions can evoke a range of emotions, from anxiety and sadness to a sense of loss and confusion.

In addition to these familial and residential changes, you may also have felt a diminished sense of safety and security in your environment. This could stem from various factors, including external circumstances like economic instability, social unrest, or even personal experiences that have made you feel vulnerable.

The combination of these elements can create an overwhelming atmosphere of unpredictability, making it challenging to establish a stable foundation for yourself and your loved ones. As you navigate through these tumultuous times, it is essential to acknowledge the impact of these upheavals on your emotional and psychological well-being, as they can significantly influence your outlook on life and your relationships with others.

As a result, you might have expanded your understanding of what is real and what is possible, allowing for a more open-minded approach to life’s challenges and opportunities. This shift in perspective can often lead to a heightened sense of awareness and a deeper appreciation for the complexities of the world around you.

Moreover, you may have faced profound and lasting changes in your relationships with your siblings. These relationships, which are often foundational in our lives, might have evolved as you both navigated your individual journeys. PLUTO IN CAPRICORN FOR SAGITTARIUS RISING

Pluto transiting the 2nd House

Pluto was visiting your 2nd house of Assets, Resources, Skills and Talents, and Self Worth.

Over this time, you may have experienced a profound initiation that has significantly deepened your understanding of your self-worth and inherent value as an individual. This journey often involves a reflective process where you come to recognize that your true worth is not dictated by external factors such as wealth, possessions, or societal status, but rather stems from your intrinsic qualities, character, and the unique contributions you make to the world around you. This realization can lead to a transformative shift in how you perceive yourself, fostering a sense of confidence and empowerment that is rooted in authenticity rather than superficial measures of success.

Additionally, during this period, you may have come to terms with the impermanence of material attachments. You might have noticed how easily possessions can come and go, and how clinging to them can lead to a sense of dissatisfaction or anxiety. This understanding can encourage a more mindful approach to life, where you learn to appreciate experiences and relationships over material goods. It can also prompt a re-evaluation of what truly brings you joy and fulfilment, leading to a more intentional way of living that prioritizes lasting connections and personal growth over fleeting pleasures.

This initiation may have coincided with a significant transformation regarding your financial situation. This could involve learning to budget more effectively, understanding the importance of saving, or even redefining what financial success means to you.

As you navigated these changes, you may have found yourself moving away from a mindset of scarcity and fear towards one of abundance and possibility, recognizing that financial stability is not just about accumulating wealth but also about fostering a sense of security and freedom in your life.

Alternatively, you might experience redundancy, where your position becomes obsolete due to organizational changes, economic downturns, or shifts in industry demands. Such situations can be disheartening, yet they also present a unique chance for growth and transformation. Moreover, involvement in a public scandal can dramatically alter your professional landscape, impacting not only your reputation but also your career trajectory.

Navigating the aftermath of such an event can be incredibly challenging, requiring resilience and a strategic approach to rebuild your image and regain trust in your professional relationships. In some cases, you may find it necessary to reinvent your public identity altogether. This reinvention can involve redefining how you present yourself to the world, whether that means changing your career focus, adopting new skills, or reshaping the narrative surrounding your professional life.

These experiences, while often daunting, can serve as powerful catalysts for personal and professional development, ultimately leading you to a more authentic and fulfilling career path.

Pluto Transits to Personal Planets and Angles

If you are an Aquarius or Leo Rising, or have your Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury, or Mars in Aquarius, this is going to have a deeper impact on you, as Pluto will touch these placements in your chart. You will most likely also experience it more intensely if you are a Scorpio or Taurus rising, depending on whether you have your IC or MC in Aquarius.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, fear not. I have made Guide To Zodiac Signs + Working With The Moon that shows you how to pull up your birth chart.

pluto transit to ascendant

You can see which degree a planet or angle is by the number next to the planet/Angle. Note that the DC is directly opposite the AC so it's the same degree, just as the IC is directly opposite the MC and also the same degree.

Pluto is a very very slow moving planet: it takes 284 years to transit the earth and the entire zodiac wheel. So this is this is not even a once in a lifetime transit this is a once in a three lifetime transit . The people who experience this in their lifetime have very specifically been chosen to experience this and to experience whatever this transit has to offer them.

This is also why I also feel it's so important to me to share this information and what people have shared with me in my case study and why I want to put this out. These transits are intense and dark and heavy.

But you aren't alone.

Everything that happens astrologically is part of your soul map. Your soul chose to come into your earth body at this particular time with these planetary alignments (this is my belief, take what resonates and leave the rest).

Even though I've been studying astrology for a really long time, the way I approach it isn't to look at what the planets are doing every single day. I find that that takes so much power away from how people are living their day-to-day life by getting seriously anxious about retrogrades, putting things on hold, and not just Living Life. I prefer to approach it as a tool for empowerment, to know what to expect as they relate to you, but also to validate your experiences.

We talk about the planets when we talk about them and the rest of the time we live our life.

This is what I want for you, and this is what I want for me.

In 2023 Pluto entered Aquarius and will impact you if you are a:

Aquarius Sun

Aquarius Rising = AC

Leo Rising = Pluto transit to MC (most likely)

Scorpio Rising = Pluto transit to IC (most likely)

I will explain the AC, IC, DC, and MC in a moment.

You can check the dates of your transits at the bottom of this page.

What's the deal with Astrological Transits?

Transits refer to what the planets in the sky are doing right now and what I'm talking about here is when a transit encounters one of the planets or angles in your natal chart, which activates that planet. Think of it like someone coming up to you (your natal planet), and bringing their bs (whatever that is, sometimes it's abundance (Jupiter), other times it's karma (Saturn), transformation (Pluto), unexpected change (Uranus).

So when we have a transit, whether that's Mercury Retrograde, Eclipses, etcetera, the energy comes in, it peaks, and then it goes out. And this is another reason why I don't pay extreme attention to what the planets are doing on a given day, because you might actually feel the mercury retrograde fuckery in the pre or post shadow period rather than during the actual retrograde. I find this to be especially the case with people who have a lot of Cardinal energy in their chart - you will feel things before anyone else does.

What does a Pluto Transit look like?

Astronomically, Pluto will touch the planet or point three to five times because it retrogrades back and forth over this point. Because Pluto moves so slowly, the dates I have put below are for when it is exact conjunct. However, I would look at the entire period from the first contact until the last contact and even time a little bit outside of that because, as I said, the energy moves in and out.

That first contact (this is the case with all transit and Eclipse cycles) tends to set the theme that will be picked up on subsequent contacts / throughout the transit period.

Pluto Transits to the Sun, Angles, and Personal Planets

The Sun

Is your identity, your ego, who you are at your core, and what drives you.

The AC

Is how you move out into the world, your body, your appearance, how you appear to others and how you perceive others and situations.

The DC

Is directly opposite the AC and represents "the other", how we actually meet the outside world, how we show up for others, our partnerships and collaborations.

The IC*

Is the deepest, most hidden part of you, what is "behind closed doors" and can also be related to home and family. It's the private thoughts and what you keep hidden or private.

The MC*

Is the most seen and public part of you, what is "out in the open" , and can also be related to your public image, how you want to be seen and what you want to be known for.

Moon

The Moon is your emotions, intuition, and connection to the feminine and mother archetype.

Mercury

Mercury is the messenger. It is all to do with how we think, learn, communicate, and move.

Venus

Venus is the beautify and sensual lover. It is all about how we connect with other people, what we like, and how we experience pleasure.

Mars

Mars is the warrior and it how we step out onto the field to take action and get things done.

*The MC and IC are a little tricky because they won't always be in Aquarius for Taurus and Scorpio risings so for some of you this actually won't apply - check your chart to confirm.

So you can imagine what having a death/rebirth/transformation of these areas of your chart/life might bring. But, also, yes, Pluto may be the death, but it also brings the rebirth - just like the Death card in the Tarot (which is one of my favourite cards because it paves a way for a new beginning).

DO NOT FORGET THIS CRITICAL FACT!

We experience the death to have the rebirth, to get to a better place, to shed layers of our being, identities, and bs about what people think about us, or who we think we are. And these become so unbearable that we have no choice but to go through this initiation, and then we are able to move forward without carrying the weight of these things.

My intention is certainly not to make anyone panic because everything that happens in astrology and all of these transits that that we face are part of our journey. And if any of this triggers you, please go and work on yourself. It will make these transits and your life much, much easier.

My experience of Pluto transiting my Sun

For context, I left the corporate world because I wanted to help people. In 2016 (during my Saturn return) I made the decision that I was going to do this by teaching people Pilates and Meditation and doing Sound Healing to help people align their body, mind, and soul, as I'd experienced profound transformation myself through these modalities. By 2018 I was doing those things full time, with a tiny smattering of the things I do now.

First Pluto - Sun Activation

At the time of the first activation, I was working all over London, and travelling around to do teacher trainings and go to conferences. Things were going pretty well and I was in a good flow. I was really living the life I had dreamed of when I conjured up my vision of working for myself. I thought that this was it. I was going to be Pilates Woman and this was going to be the rest of my life. So needless to say I invested ALOT of time, effort, and money into trainings. It was honestly the first time I had really had to apply myself to something because coordinated movement doesn't come naturally to me, but this dedication and that fact it didn't come easily for me made me great at it.

Second Pluto - Sun Activation

The second time old mate visited me was in January 2020. I had come back to Australia over Christmas, but decided to stay for a few months until February to take a break, recalibrate, and also network in Australia because I knew that being away from my family 49 weeks of the year wasn't cutting it so the ideal situation would be to be able to work part time in Australia and part time in the UK. That was my plan. As I settled in to being back the exhaustion and overwhelm hit me like a tonne of bricks and I had what can only be described as a breakdown. I was extremely burnt out and it was only then that I realized just how much energy teaching group classes was taking from me and had to face that although that's how I was making the majority of my income, something needed to change. I felt called to move more into my other work - the workshops, events, sound immersions, meditation, and that that would give me the balance that I craved. This was the new plan.

I returned to London in February and things were going well because I had revised my teaching schedule. I'd only been back for a month when the Pandemic really started to kick off: all the studios shut and I no longer had clients or students to teach. As things were moving online I was still with the belief / narrative that teaching Pilates was how I make a living, yet had a strong and undeniable realisation that with a world in chaos, giving people nice bums wasn't the best use of my skills.

So I created a meditation course and a 30 day challenge that I sold, and did pretty well. However, some time between selling it to people and delivering it I woke up one morning and knew I needed to leave London immediately and return to Australia.

Third Pluto - Sun Activation

Fast forward to the third transit. I had been back in Australia for 3 months. I had delivered my meditation course and was doing online workshops, but also still teaching Pilates online in between that, while also getting much deeper into applying astrology, healings, manifestation, and tarot: all of these things that I had been interested in before I was told that I had to be a "normal" person with a "normal" job. During this time, I remember so clearly having the realisation that I needed to kill off my Pilates identity. The Instagram, the followers, and reputation I had built and the work I was doing. It was just no longer me.

I say it like that now, but it was really hard for me to admit that after all the money and time and training, and how certain I had felt that that was my calling, that it actually wasn't "it", and that I no longer identified as that person. I made a big post about it, but I never put it up. I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on her. So things continued, but this work that I am doing now started to gain more traction and I teaching pilates was less and less in alignment for me.

Fourth Pluto - Sun Activation

Now for the fourth and final instalment. In November 2020 I decided to give Pilates ONE LAST SHOT (still in denial that it was over, clearly). I was well and truly fed up with the industry in Australia so decided to do my own thing and host my own classes. I had *just* enough conviction to give it a go, but the passion wasn't there to give it the attention it needed and it didn't really work out. I say it like that now with the benefit of hindsight, but this was a really difficult time for me. It was Pluto's last bitch slap to wake me up into my purpose. I was having a hard time sort of trying to make the Pilates thing work, stressing about whatever the alternative was (still in denial about the potential of the work I do now), and not getting along with ANYONE. So it was all round a heavy time and I was massively depressed. I just couldn't seem to see the way through (it was in front of me all along), or what was up or down.

As the transit passed, the fog lifted. But in those deep transit movement, I was in complete despair. Feeling like I had nothing, and wondering how I would make something of myself and turn things around. Mentally and emotionally it was a rock bottom moment, but this is where we rise and now things look and feel radically different. Some things really do just take time and one day you wake up and no longer feel the way that you did.

My advice for anyone experiencing this is to hang in there, because these planetary energies are no joke. They make you question everything, but things that need to be questioned and re-evaluated.

Now, the other thing that happened around this time is that my uncle (also a Capricorn Sun) passed away. He became ill very suddenly, but the prognosis wasn't good. At the time of his death was the second Pluto contact to his Sun. Further, my dad - his brother, is ALSO a Capricorn Sun and this happened during his first Pluto contact, acting as a catalyst for him to think about his own mortality, etcetera, as losing people close to us so often does.

So this is when I became curious to dig deeper into these transits.

I did a case study calling for volunteers who would have experienced this transit to their Sun or the angles of the chart. I was then able to give them their transit dates and speak to them about their experience around that time.

The people that I spoke to could relate to the themes I've been speaking about, however for some it was the complete identity death that I experienced, and for others it actually marked the "rebirth" phase after an intense period of darkness.

I have spoken to so many people with so many different experiences, but I can speak the most to mine and that is that the intensity DID just lift, and that now I am living my best life doing what I want to do that is completely aligned, and the knowledge that it's okay to change course and do something else.

You don't have to commit forever, but to listen to the callings because the heart knows best, and that now that I'm giving this work my full attention instead of putting even a little bit of energy into something that isn't aligned and I'm really able to see the results of that by how I feel, and the growth of my business. Whether this transit impacts your family, your relationships, or your work, this is an initiation that paves way for something better - whether that is literally a better or more aligned partnership, or a new appreciation and way of seeing the world. Remember:

Perception is everything and we can let it destroy us, or we can let it forge us.

So that's about all I have to say about that. I've obviously put a lot of work into this and I'd love to hear from you in the comments about your experiences and if this resonates, which will also help others.

You an check out the transit dates by degree right down the bottom.

If you are going through this transit and in need of some Guidance, you can book a session with me here where I will look at your astrological birth chart, as well as your soul map (which is based on your name) to guide and support you through where you're at.

Otherwise, check out my free guide on Zodiac signs and working with the moon here or any of my other resources.

Pluto Transit Through Aquarius Dates by Degree

Remember when I showed you how to find the degree of your Sun or angles? You are going to need that, as this is what the number refers to. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I've made a free PDF showing you how to pull up your birth chart and find this information.
